About the 1SU41015
Reliance Electric manufactures 1SU41015 as part of the SP500 drive series. The horsepower rating is 15 HP. There are four possible fatal faults on the drive. The first is the encoder power-up diagnostic error, which is caused by encoder voltage that is less than 10V (F3 code). To correct this fault, turn the drive off, disconnect the encoder wiring from the terminal strip, and turn the drive back on. If the F3 error does not occur again, the problem is in the wiring between the drive and the encoder. If the F3 error does occur again, the regulator board must be replaced. Another fatal fault is the option port identification error, which is caused by the regulator not identifying the option board (F60 Code). To correct this fault, check the ribbon cable between the regulator board and the option board, and check the option board’s jumper settings.
Another fatal fault is the option board power-up diagnostic failure, which is caused by an option board that has failed one or more power-up diagnostics (F61). To correct this fault, check the ribbon cable between the Regulator board and the option board. If necessary, replace the option board. The last fatal fault is the option board runtime error (F62 or F26). If this fault occurs, the option board watchdog failed or handshaking with the drive failed. If the fault is intermittent, check for causes of noise, for proper grounding, and that outputs are not exceeding rated current capacities. If necessary, replace the option board.
