About the ACDA-33
The ACDA-33 is a Reliance Electric Vectrive Servo Drive. Also known as the EXCA-33 Converter, the ACDA-33 has an output of 36 KW, DC 280/310V, and uses a source of AC power 200 to 220 V 50/60 Hz three-phase, or AC power 200 to 220 V 50/60 Hz one-phase.
Servo Drives like the ACDA-33 are designed to work as a signal amplifier between a control system, from which it receives a command signal, and a servo motor, which the drive transmits electric current to. This produces a response (velocity, torque, position) proportional to the command signal. Servo drives also include a sensor to monitor, compare, and correct the motor response as compared to the control command signal. When setting up your system with the Reliance ACDA-33, some parameters such as derivative gain, feedback gain, and proportional gain may need to be adjusted to arrive at your desired performance level.
The ACDA-33 is enclosed in a metal housing with several opening for proper airflow. Please do not block these openings when installing the drive. The front panel includes a power button and an LED indicator next to a percentage gauge. The bottom of the unit has several screw connections (terminal strips) to allow for various connections. Please allow proper clearance for these wired connections when installing the unit. Internal printed circuit boards will include components like potentiometers, capacitors, resistor network arrays, transistors, integrated circuits, diodes, and header/cable connectors. Please refer to publications originally provided by Reliance Electric, such as manuals, data sheets, or user guides, for more information regarding operation, installation, or maintenance of this product. As the original equipment manufacturer, Reliance was responsible for technical support. The ACDA-33 was also manufactured at various times in its history by Asea Brown Boveri or Baldor Reliance.
