About the UAZ-3030
The UAZ-3030 is a 3-Phase 30 kW Converter Unit for a VZ3000 Series AC Induction Servo Drive. It was initially created by Reliance Electric and later sold by ABB and/or Baldor Reliance.
When using class 200 V, the UAZ-3030 has an input of 50/60 Hz, 200/220/230 VAC, 3-phase, and a max of 80 amps. It also has an output of 240-350 VDC, 1-phase, 15 kW, and a max of 69 amps. When using class 400 V, the unit has an input of 380/400/440/460 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 3-phase, and a max of 84 amps. It has an output of 460-700 VDC, 1-phase, 30 kW, and 72 max amps. It also has a short circuit rating of 5 kiloamps. It can maintain a 150% overload for 60 seconds. It generates 150 watts of heat in 200 V class and 300 watts in 400 V class. This unit has several protective functions that will trip or turn on when it detects a unit overheat, low voltage, over-voltage, a resistor overheating, or a regenerative trip. It weighs roughly 15 kg and is 168 mm wide, 413 mm tall, and 303 mm deep.
The UAZ-3030 is in a chassis style enclosure. It uses two DC brushless fans that are located on the bottom of the unit to provide forced air to the internal components on the unit. There is a front cover on the unit that can be removed to expose main circuit terminals, control terminals, and overheat fault output terminals for a built-in regenerative resistor. On the right side of the unit on the front are display lamps that are labeled PWR, RDY, OH, ROH, FAN, TR, and RST.
