About the UAZ3022

The UAZ3022 is a Separate Type Converter Unit AC Servo Drive for a Reliance Electric System. It is a component within the VZ3000 Series and may have also been offered by ABB and/or Baldor Reliance.

The UAZ3022 has a 200 V/400 V class power supply voltage. It is 3-phase with a drive capacity of 22 kW. When using a power supply voltage of 200 V, it has an input rating of 50/60 Hz, 180-260 VAC, and 116 amps. It has an output rating of 240-350 VDC and 104 amps. When it is using a power supply voltage of 400 V it has an input of 340-510 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and 116 amps. It also has an output of 460-700 VDC and 104 amps. It has a 5 kiloamp short circuit system rating.

The UAZ3022 is in a chassis kind of enclosure. There is a removable face cover on the chassis that is protecting two terminal strips. The main terminal strip has 8 terminals that are labeled 181 (R), 182 (S), 183 (T), 147 (P), B1, B2, 145 (N), and G (E). The second terminal strip, which is the control circuit terminals, has 5 terminals that are labeled +Vc, 0Vc, RDY, IP, and RST. On the right-hand side of the UAZ3022’s faceplate, there are 9 display lamps. These are labeled RST, TR. FAN, ROH, OH, RB, IP, RDY, and PWR.  There are air circulation vents that are on the top, sides, and base of the chassis. There is also an internal fan assembly that forces air to the interior drive elements.
