About the UAZ3030
The UAZ3030 is a 30 kW Separate Type Converter Unit for an Induction Servo AC Drive. It was originally produced by Reliance Electric for the VZ3000 Series but was later offered by ABB and/or Baldor Reliance. An alternate part number for this unit is UAZ-3030.
The UAZ3030 can use either 200 V/400 V class input power voltage. When using 200 V it can maintain an input of 200/220/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz, a maximum of 80 A, and is 3-phase. The output voltage produced is single-phase, 15 Kw, a max of 69 A, and 240-350 VDC. When maintaining 400 V, the UAZ3030 can maintain an input that has a max of 84 A, 3-phase, 50/60 Hz, and 380/400/440/460 VAC. It can have an output production of 30 kW, 72A max, single-phase, and 460-700 VDC. This unit has the ability to overload for 60 seconds for 150% and has a 5 kiloamp short circuit rating. It is 413 mm tall, 168 mm wide, 303 mm thick, and weighs 15 kg. The UAZ3030 has several protective features that will turn on or trip when the unit is overheating, has low voltage, has an over-voltage, its resistors are overheating, or requires a regenerative trip.
The UAZ3030 is protected by a chassis type enclosure. There are a total of two brushless DC fans located on the underside of the chassis that have the ability to provide forced air into the internal elements of the unit. On the unit, there is a front protective cover that can be detached to reveal control terminals, main circuit terminals, and an overheat fault output terminals that are used for a built-in regenerative resistor. On the right-most side of the UAZ3030 on the front cover are display lamps that have been labeled RST, TR, FAN, ROH, OH, RDY, and PWR.
