About the UAZ3255-3275
The UAZ3255-3275 is a 75 kW 3-Phase Converter/Thyristor Unit created by Reliance Electric. This unit may have also been sold as a part of the ABB or Baldor Reliance product lines, but the VZ3000 series has been discontinued by all of these manufacturers. While it has become difficult to find the UAZ3255-3275, AX Control still tries to keep it in stock.
Documentation for the UAZ3255-3275 indicates that it is the same part as the UAZ-3275. This unit has a 200 class power supply voltage. It can maintain a 200/220/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and 350 amp input with a 298 amp 270-310 VDC output. It has the capacity to overload for one minute totaling 150%. It is 370 mm deep, 230 mm wide, and 400 mm tall. It weighs right around 25 kg.
The UAZ3255-3275 is surrounded by a chassis-type enclosure. This unit is typically mounted vertically in a control cabinet. When installing this unit, a duct system should also be installed at the top of the cabinet to help expel the warm air generated by the machinery in the cabinet. It is advised that this unit be installed with an ICB circuit breaker that is sold separately.
There are two sets of main terminals on the UAZ3255-3275. The set that is on top of the drive is labeled E, T, S, and R. The set that is found on the bottom of the unit is labeled W, P, and PB. There is a control terminal strip and display lamps located on the faceplate of the unit.
