The 3020-CM-4000 is a PowerLogic circuit monitor manufactured by Square D. The 3020-CM-4000 is a high-performance module designed with digital instrumentation. The 3020-CM-4000 can easily integrate into existing power monitoring and control systems due to the module's embedded web server and optional Ethernet connections. The 3020-CM-4000 can be used for panel instrumentation, metering of utilities, power-quality monitoring, remote monitoring of field equipment, cost allocation/sub-billing, and contract and load curve optimization.

Features of the 3020-CM-4000 include:

• Power quality summary. The module can create a trendable index of power quality characteristics

• Disturbance direction detection. The module can discern if an event is downstream or upstream from the meter

• Detection of major waveform changes. The module can detect phase switching phenomena not usually detected by threshold-based alarms

• Ultra-fast recording of electrical parameters. The module can be set to cycle every 100 ms.

• Adaptive waveform capture. The module captures long-duration events. The module offers extended waveform capture up to 30 seconds.

• Sequence of events recording. The module uses GPS synchronization technology to assist with recording.

• Automatic alarm setting. The module 'learns,' for optimum threshold settings.

The 3020-CM-4000 offers 0.1% accuracy. It has true RMS metering through the 127th harmonic. No PTs are required up to 600V. The 3020-CM-4000 comes with a standard solid-state KYZ pulse output, 8 MB of non-volatile memory, and standard RS-485/RS-232 Modbus RTU communications (38.4 K baud.) The module has optional field-installable Ethernet communications, I/O, and a field installable modular analog/digital I/O extender.
