About the 3020-CM100X1
The PowerLogic 3020-CM100X1 is a circuit monitor by Square D. Full instrumentation and communications are standard with the 3020-CM100X1. Up to sixteen 3020-CM100X1 devices can be daisy-chained to a single RS-422/RS-485 communication port. It is important to note in this configuration each device must have a unique address in order to allow communication to specific Circuit Monitors. This unique address can be set for each 3020-CM100X1 by accessing two ten-position rotary switches that are located behind a panel on the back of the unit. These switches are easily accessed by loosening two screws and sliding the panel toward the top of the module.
If the user decides to daisy-chain multiple 3020-CM100X1 units together, it is important to note all modules must be set to the same baud rate to communicate properly with each other. The 3020-CM100X1 is able to communicate at the following baud rates:
-
19.2k baud
-
9600 baud
-
4800 baud
-
2400 baud
-
1200 baud
The default setting on the 3020-CM100X1 is a setting of 9600 baud. To change the baud rate, the user must turn off the control power to the unit, set the device address to either 94,95, 96, 97 or 98, and then return power to the unit. Baud rate doubles for each successive number higher in the above series.
The 3020-CM100X1 has four 3 phase voltage inputs (120 volts nominal) labeled Vc/Vb/Va/Vn, and six 3 phase current inputs (5 amps nominal) labeled Ic+/Ic-/Ib+/Ib-/Ia+/Ia-.
The 3020-CM100X1 is rated 120VAC, 0.5 Amp, 50/60Hz. Only a qualified electrician should install or service this module.
