About the 3020-IOM-18
The 3020-IOM18 is a PowerLogic I/O (Input/Output) module built by Square D, aka Schneider Electric with 8 status IN and 1 KYZ out. The solid-state KYZ output is designed for extremely long life and is required for pulse initiator applications.
Date and time stamp on the 3020-IOM18 is accurate to within one second. The I/Os (input/outputs) on this module keep a counter of all transactions for each individual input. The S1 status input on the 3020-IOM18 can be set up to accept a demand synch pulse from a utility demand meter. Status inputs can also be used to count KYZ pulses for energy and demand calculation.
The KYZ output on the 3020-IOM18 has a maximum rating of 96 mA. It is a Form-C contact.
The 3020-IOM18 is designed to mount with four screws: two at the top and two at the bottom of the module.
The 3020-IOM18 can be wired as part of two-wire or three-wire pulse initiator application. In a two-wire system, the 3020-IOM18 can deliver up to five pulses per second. In a three-wire application, the 3020-IOM18 can manage up to ten pulses per second.
The 3020-IOM18 has onboard waveform capture, data logging, and automatic AlarmRelay control. The 3020-IOM18 comes with an S2 high-speed input that is designed for the capture of short duration events, such as voltage sags. It is important to note the circuit monitor must be equipped with an optional I/O module for this functionality.
PowerLogic circuit monitors have been designed as multi-function control devices able to replace a variety of meters and relays. Each circuit monitor has true RMS metering and RS-485 communication standard. THD and K-factor are two of the power quality readings displayed.
