About the 3020EDI32
The 3020EDI32 is a Powerlogic Enercept Display Interface manufactured by Square D/Schneider Electric. The 3020EDI32 is designed with a 4-button interface and display screen. The 3020EDI32 is designed to work with a 4-wire Enercept meter string. It is worth noting that since parity on the 4-wire side of the 3020EDI32 is programmable, you may use this module to extend a NO parity network. Set the 4-wire port to NO parity and jumper the + and - connectors together to make the 3020EDI32 2-wire.
The display and associated meters can be used for the following applications:
-
data for motor sizing
-
power equipment planning
-
motor maintenance trending
-
motor control center monitoring
-
real-time power monitoring
-
activity-based costing in industrial facilities
-
sub-metering for commercial tenants
-
energy management
-
performance contracting
The 3020-EDI-32 does not use an address, but it can be given an offset address. Valid offsets are 0, 64, 128 and 192. In this way, up to 4 enercept meters can have the same address but still be seen as unique devices by the 3020-EDI-32. The user should note there are limitations for addresses on mixed mode strings when Modbus and PowerLogic protocols are both on the same string. Also, the end user must remember that no two modules on the same network can have the same address unless using an offset address.
The 3020EDI32 can accept AC or DC current rated 9-24V. The module has three ports labeled on its back panel: S,-, +, plus 5 ports labeled IN+, IN-, OUT+, OUT-, S.
