About the CM-208
The CM-208 is a PowerLogic Circuit Monitor manufactured by Square D. The CM-208 is designed with multi-function instrumentation, 8 inputs, and standard waveform capture.
Standard features of the CM-208 include:
The CM-208 offers up significant data through its standard RS-485 data connection, which is compatible with most new and existing networks. All minimum and maximum values are stored for instantaneous readings and can be reset via the communications channel. The CM-208 has a number of user-defined set-up parameters which must be defined for proper operation. These parameters include CT rating, PT rating, system type and demand interval. All parameters can be set through the communication channel on the CM-208. A nominal secondary current transformer rating of 5 amps is assumed by the CT-208.
Up to 16 CM-208 modules can be directly connected to a single RS-485 port or personal computer. It is worth noting a multipoint communications adapter (3090MCA-485) is required in both of these configurations.
The CM-208 is capable of communicating at any of the following baud rates: 19.2K, 9600 baud, 4800 baud, 2400 baud, 1200 baud. The default setting is 9600 baud but can be changed using the device address switches located on the rear panel.
The CM-208 is usually mounted as a semi flush device. If space is limited other methods may be used. The CM-208 is self-cooled by convection.
The CM-208 is rated 120 VAC 0.5 AMP. 50/60 Hz. UL listed.
