About the CM-250
CM-250 is a PowerLogic Circuit Monitor (CM) manufactured by Square D/Schneider Electric. The CM-250 is a data acquisition and control instrument able to replace several conventional metering and data attainment modules. The CM-250 is designed with industry-standard RS-485/RS-422 communication to allow for easy integration into new or existing communication networks.
The CM-250 circuit monitor has the following features standard:
-
On-board calendar and clock
-
Sy/Max Compatibility
-
True RMS sensing
-
UL Listed (UL 508)
-
Microprocessor-based control
-
User Configurable
-
Accepts standard CT and PT inputs (5A and 120V)
-
Quick setup and operation from the faceplate
-
6-digit LED display of 24 values
-
Non-volatile memory
-
Waveform capture
-
Energy management alarms
The CM-250 can report on 20 instantaneous values including voltage, current, power factor, real power, reactive power, frequency, apparent power, and temperature. A running minimum and maximum of each instantaneous value are stored in non-volatile memory.
The CM-250 enclosure is designed from three separate 16-gauge pieces of steel: a rear cover, a front cover, and an optional trim ring. The unit is self-cooled by convection. The CM-250 is usually mounted semi-flush through a panel or breaker cell door, but in situations where space is limited or multiple modules are being used, the unit can be mounted using a different method. The CM-250 is usually grounded by the connection of its hardware to a nearby grounded metal enclosure. If the user feels this is not sufficient, a separate equipment ground wire may be connected to one of the CM-250's mounting studs. 120 VAC 0.5 Amp 50/60 Hz.
