About the E08-3
The Powerlogic E08-3 800 Amp Enercept Meter allows for sub-metering with simple, cost-effective installation. Since the meter is inside the CTs, no external PTs are required, reducing costs. The E08-3 can be tied to an e-server for onsite data logging or can be connected to a PowerLogic network for remote data maintenance. The E08-3 is designed with three external split-core CTs (external.) One of these CTs has onboard communication and metering electronics. Transferred data can be read in graph or table format. Data can be used for historical trending, historical logging, alarming, and to produce reports.
The E08-3 comes standard with RS-485 (RTU 2-wire) communication protocols and provides ANSI C12.1 metering accuracy. The optional Enercept Display Interface (EDI) can support up to 32 meters (or 63 with a repeater.) The EDI is also able to act as a network adapter.
The E08-3 has a data reading accuracy of plus/minus 1% standard deviation for voltage, current, power, and energy.
The E08-3 is designed with three voltage leads plus a neutral lead, external CTs, a mandatory fuse (per NEC,) Modbus RS-485 connector, status-LED, and an address selection switches. It is UL and cUL listed. The E08-3 can be used on three-phase systems as well as single-phase systems.
