About the 3050-PIF-85
3050-PIF-85 is a Life-Gard Model 85A Temperature Controller Interface that is manufactured by Square D as a part of the PowerLogic 3050 series. The ride through on power loss is 20 ms, and the surge suppression is 35 joules. The interface weight is 3 lbs. The control power input has a 120 VAC nominal voltage, a 90-132 VAC operating range, a 50/60 Hz frequency range, a 1500 V for 1 minute isolation, and a 1 A @ 120 VAC (132 VA) burden. The clock/calendar accuracy is +/- 1.5 seconds in 24 hours at 25° C.
When the DC OK LED is lit, the DC power is OK. When the RS-422 COMMS LED is flashing, the RS-422 comms is active. When the RS-428 COMMS LED is flashing, the RS-428 comms is active. The instantaneous readings are Coil A, B, C, and hottest coil. The setpoints are Fans On, Fans Off, Alarm On, Alarm Off, and Shutdown. The statuses on the interface are fan mode (auto/manual), fan relay (on/off), high temperature alarm relay (normal/setpoint exceeded), emergency shutdown relay (normal/setpoint exceeded), and transformer type.
The product interface connects to the Model 85A temperature controller using standard RS-422 communications and can be located up to 4,000 feet from the Model 85A temperature controller. The steel case that houses the product interface is designed to be mounted in power equipment. The compact product interface mounts in low-voltage switchboards and other small faces. The wiring connections for communications cables and control power are made to removable terminal plugs on the front of the product interface.
