About the 8005-CP-51
The 8005-CP-51 is a 24 VDC Processor Unit for a SY/MAX 8005 Model 50 system. It was originally manufactured by Schneider Electric Square-D but production has since been discontinued for this module. While it may have become hard to locate, AX Control still attempts to keep the 8005-CP-51 in stock.
The 8005-CP-51 is 24 VDCs and 25 watt program controller. This processor has a built-in power supply, a processor, and a base that is used to mount up to two I/O modules. This model does not come with a memory pack. Those should be purchased separately. It is recommended that a CMOS-RAM (1k or 4k steps), EEPROM, or EPROM memory pack be used for this module.
On top of the power supply on the 8005-CP-51 is a power terminal strip. It has a total of three terminal screws. There are air vents on the sides of the power supply and processor unit. Below that is a spot of the memory pack and an area to connect the program loader. On the left side of the module is an area where the I/O modules can be mounted. There is a diagram on the mounting area that shows the user how to properly install the I/O modules. There are two screws on the mounting base that will allow the modules to be further secured into place. To the right side of the module is an expansion cable connection. Using an expansion cable, a user can connect an expansion base or an expansion power supply unit to the processor unit.
