The 8005-DN-116 is a 24 VDC 16 Function Input Module made by Square-D. This module is no longer getting any type of support from this company and it has become a little difficult to locate. AX Control does attempt to keep this module in stock as a used or new surplus stock part.

The 8005-DN-116 is a sink type SY/MAX Class 8005 A-1 series input module. It has a rated input value of 24 VDC. It has 16-points per module with one common connector for every 8 points. It has an input current of 10 mA per point at 24 VDC. It has a 2.3k ohms input impedance. It has turn on values of 7 milliseconds, a voltage of 10 VDCs and a current of 4.10 mA at 10 VDC. It has a turn off time of 11 milliseconds, 3 VDC turn off voltage, and a 0.98 mA at 3 VDC turn off current. It has a maximum internal current draw of 40 mA. It has a photocoupler isolation mode that is rated at 1500 volts RMS for 1 minute. An external power supply is required for the input.

The 8005-DN-116 has a system of LED indicators on the faceplate. They correspond to matching I/O connections on the terminal strip. There are a total of 20 terminal screws but only 16 are available for I/O connections. There are two NC (or no connection) and two COM (-) connections that are not used or monitored. The other connections are labeled 0-7 on the right side and 0-7 on the left. The left side has terminals with lower addresses while the right has higher addresses.
