The 8005-EPU-1 is a SY/MAX Power Module that was created by Square-D. This module is a part of the Class 8005 series A-1. It is no longer being supported by Square-D or Schneider Electric and may be a little hard to find.

The 8005-EPU-1 is 120-240 VAC with 25 VA and 50/60 Hz. It has a 24 VDC (0.5 A) output value.  This module is meant to provide power to 24 VDC inputs or sensors. This module can be paired with either an I/O module or another external power unit on to a mounting base. This module has a power voltage of 85 to 264 VAC. It has a max rush current of 40A. It has a minimum of 60% efficiency. It has a fuse type overcurrent protection. It has an output noise of 500 mVp-p. it has a dielectric strength between I/O terminals and GND of 1500 VAC for 1 minute. It can have an insulation resistance with a 500V megger between I/O terminals and the GND of 10 milliohms minimum. This module weighs around 230 grams. Power units can not be connected parallelly because it will cause equipment damage.

The 8005-EPU-1 has a terminal strip that has 10 M3.5 terminal screws. Terminal screws 4-8 are labeled no connection. Terminals 1 and 2 are labeled 120-240 VAC power. Terminal screws 9 and 10 are labeled 24 VDC -out+. It has an LED indicator labeled ON which will glow to indicate the module is receiving power.
