About the 8005-LCB-10
The 8005-LCB-10 is a Programmer Cable that was created by Schneider Electric Square-D. It is a part of the legacy series SY/MAX Class 8005 A-1 Model 50 Programmable Controller Hardware. This model may be a little difficult to locate because it’s no longer supported, but AX Control does try to keep it in stock.
The 8005-LCB-10 is typically used to specifically connect the Model 50 processor unit to a PR-4 program loader. In order to make this connection, the user just needs to remove the protective cover on the processing unit, slide the 8-pin male connector into its corresponding slot on the unit, and tighten the connection screws. Then the user can connect the other side of the cable directly into the corresponding slot on the PR-4 programmer, which is typically located on its right side, and tighten its connection screws as well. This completes the connection from the programmer to the CPU. The programmer cable is one of the possible ways the PR-4 can receive power. This cable can also help to facilitate communication between the program loader and the processor unit. The PR-4 has a program capacity of 4K-steps. The processor unit for this connection should be vertically mounted to a wall or a panel. The PR-4 can either be mounted with the processor unit or the programmer cable can be disconnected from the processor unit and the PR-4 can be stored elsewhere.
