About the 8005-RT-108
The 8005-RT-108 is a Relay Output Module for a SY/MAX Class 8005 Model 50 Programmable Controller system.
The 8005-RT-108 has a total of eight outputs. Eight miniature relays come standard with this unit. They are 4.5 amps and 120 volts. Each of these relays can actually be replaced with a SSR output (STM-10) or a transistor (TTM-10). The unit is 120-240, VAC 50/60 Hz, with an internal draw of 150 mA.
The RT-108 is a small rectangular box that weighs around 0.66 lbs. It has a terminal strip with eight leads that connect to the eight relays. On top of the module, there is a bank of red LED indicators that will glow when they detect a connection to its corresponding relay lead. The relay leads are labeled numerically 0-7. There are three air vents that are located next to the LED indicators that are there to help air get to the internal components of the module. The bottom of this module is exposed and there is an orange pin connector on the bottom of the card that can be used to plug in the 8005-RT-108. This module should be mounted directly onto a CPU or an expansion base. Because its components are partially exposed, this module should be used in a clean, dry indoor environment. It should not be exposed to corrosive or combustible materials.
