About the 8010-SFI-324
The SY/Mate 3 Interface Board is a product from Schneider Electrics' older line of Network Interface Boards. Network interface boards are the main communicators between the computer and the SY/MAX controller. This line of boards is obsolete and has been out of production for many years now. Luckily, if you need this part to complete your projects and work, our retailer is selling this classic board. This board has a feature called, Ladder Documentation, which allows you to attach information to circuits. The SY/MATE 3 Interface Board has all the features of the SY/MATE 2 but it is able to communicate with D-Log programming. It also has new alarm features and terminal emulation installed. This product allows you to do both on-line and off-line programming of the system. The SY/MATE 3 Interface Board is adaptable thanks to its DPI switch. The switch allows for the plug to operate as 2 different serial ports.
The SY/MATE 3 Interface Board works with models of computers that are like the IBM XT, and IBM AT. This board can work well with both monochromatic and color monitors. The minimum system memory requirements for the board is 256k and the diskette drive must be 5.25 inches. This board can fit into the long and short expansion slots of many personal computers. The board should get installed into one of the extra board slots in a machine so that you can connect a system to it. Once installed, you will have a new RS-422 slot added to your personal computers.
