About the 8010-SFI-533
8010-SFI-533 is a SY/LINK Network Interface Board that is manufactured by Square D as a part of the Symax 8010 series. The SY/LINK Network Interface Board is a circuit board which mounts in a long expansion slot of an IBM Personal Computer or compatible. This particular circuit board supports two different levels of programming software by SY/MATE. This unit also provides the network communication for the SY/MAX 8010 system. Mount this circuit board inside a personal computer, which allows the PC to connect to the network without the use of a power supply or extra rack. A block of data registers, which act as a mailbox on the board between the computer and other network devices, can be accessed by any network device.
Typical applications for this board are production management, alarm management, and supervisory control. The board location in the computer memory is defined by DIP switches. There are 4 LEDs on the board: Network, Active, TX1, and RX1. There is a board edge connector, an RS-422 port, and a high speed (SY/NET) port on the circuit board. The weight of this unit is 0.75 lb. The current draw by this circuit board on the computer’s power supply is 1.5 amps. For a memory write (personal computer writing data to SY/LINK), the address lines must be valid 170 nanoseconds prior to the rising edge of the /MEMW (Write Signal).
