About the 8010-SFW50
8010-SFW50 is programming software that is manufactured by Square D for the Symax Class 8005 Model 50 programmable controller. With this software, the programmable controller system is provided with IBM compatible programming, data entry functions, and monitoring. The software package includes instruction bulletin 30598-666-xx, a 3.5 inch diskette containing three files (SFW50.EXE, AUTO50.SQD, and SFW.SEC), and a 5.25 inch diskette. The associated hardware with this software is a monochrome or color monitor, a SY/VIEW Class 8010 Type SDF202 Industrial Monitor, an IBM 1504900 Monochrome Display Adapter (or equivalent), an IBM 1504910 Color/Graphics Adapter (or equivalent), a Class 8030 Type ICM200 Isolator Converter Module, an SF13xx SY/MAX Interface Board or IBM Asynch Board, a 5.25 inch dual-sided diskette drive, a Class 8005 Type NLU10 Network Link Unit, a Class 8005 Type RIU10 Remote Interface Unit, a Ram memory pack (1K or 4K), and optional cables.
The SFW50 software will operate under PC/DOS version 2.1, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 or MS/DOS equivalent. This software can be used offline for the following tasks: storing the ladder control program, labeling certain ladder elements, cross referencing data, saving ladder files to a floppy disk or to the computer’s internal hard disk, modifying function values, and transferring programs created in offline memory to the CPU memory and vice versa. There is 1 word used per contact, 1 word per coil, 3 words per timer and counter instruction, 3 words per shift register, 1 word per JUMP instruction, 1 word per JEND end instruction, 2 words per NOP instruction, 2 words per BCDBIN instruction, 2 words per BINBCD instruction, and 4 words per all other computing instructions.
