About the 8010-SLM-100
The Square D SY/MAX 8010-SLM-100 is a loader/monitor compatible with a number of SY/MAX processor models. This operator interface offers an easy to use experience as it can function as either a handheld device or as a panel mounted system. The loader/monitor provides the operator with easily accessible data and with any messages generated by the processor. This unit can monitor any data register on a SY/MAX processor, as well as external I/O status and internal outputs. The operator can also perform a number of tasks with 8010-SLM-100, such as changing timer decodes and counter setpoints.
A key operated selector switch chooses the function of the SY/MAX 8010-SLM-100. The key selector switch changes the loader/monitor between three various modes. The first, ‘Monitor,’ displays external I/O status, internal outputs, and storage register data. When in monitor mode no changes can be made to the data. ‘Alter’ is the next mode, allowing for all accesses available in ‘monitor’ mode, but unprotected data may now be changed or altered. The third option, ‘Message’ mode, disables the keypad and only displays processor messages.
The loader/monitor also features a 26-key keypad for optimal interfacing. A fluorescent screen is above the keypad, communicating all messages from the processor. An attached 10 foot cable connects the loader/monitor to a multitude of SY/MAX processors, including model numbers 100, 300, 400, 500, 600, or 700. The cable also serves as the power supply for the loader/monitor as well, drawing from the processor. With additional cabling and power supplies the unit can be located up to 10,000 feet from the chosen processor.
Measuring 9in (H) x 6.69in (W) x 1.55in (D) and weighing 3.4 pounds this device is portable and easy to use. The loader/monitor can also be mounted with a recommended Class 8010 Type SLM110 NEMA 12 enclosure. The ambient temperature of the operating facility should range from 0℃ to 60℃ (32℉ to 140℉). Refer to the instruction bulletin for all installation and usage guidelines.
