About the 8010-SLR-100
The Square D SY/MAX 8010-SLR-100 is a 120VAC Cartridge Tape Loader/Recorder. The device is compatible with SY/MAX processors and controllers. Using a magnetic cartridge tape, the loader/recorder is able to record control programs and data. Recorded data can be uploaded into the memory of SY/MAX Class 8020 Processors and Class 8030 Type DLM-110 and DLM-120 data controller modules.
Capable of operating in either manual or automatic mode, the mode is determined by the device it is communicating with. When connected to a SY/MAX processor, manual mode loads and records control programs to the cartridge. Integrated communication rungs in the processor are capable of locating any file on the cartridge and reading or writing its data.
When connected to a CRT programmer automatic mode is enabled. This mode gives control over to the programmer's keyboard rather than the device. Loading or recording control programs, such as storage register data and rack addressing, is usable in automatic mode. Rewinding and file skipping are also accessible through the CRT programmer.
Complete with a portable carrying case, 8010-SLR-100 weighs 13.5 pounds and measures 7in (H) x 18in (W) x 13.5in (D). The loader/recorder writes data onto 3M brand Class 8010 Type SLR-120 data cartridge tapes with the part number DC-100A. These tapes are specifically designed to operate as an industrial storage medium.
The fragile nature of the tapes dictates strict housing standards to maintain the integrity of the unit. Ambient temperatures in the operational facility housing 8010-SLR-100 should fall no lower than 0℃, or 32℉, and raise no higher than 40℃, or 104℉. Mounting kit class 8010 Type SLR-130 is available to permanently mount the unit to either a wall or an enclosure. Be sure to refer to the instruction bulletin for all programming and system information.
