About the 8010-SPR-250
The Square D SY/MAX 8010-SPR-250 is a CRT programmer compatible with SY/MAX Class 8020 processors. Capable of allowing both program development and monitoring, a SY/NET LAN allows the programmer to monitor hundreds of programmable controllers. The unit is capable of both ladder diagram and non-ladder programming softwares. 8010-SPR-250 can also perform I/O and data overrides and edit programming rungs.
A security keyswitch on the front face of the programmer can lock the device into one of four operating modes. ‘Monitor’ mode allows 8010-SPR-250 to display control programs. It also monitors I/O and registers data status. The next mode, ‘Data Enter,’ features the capabilities of monitor mode while permitting the user to enter data into registers. ‘Program’ mode adds upon data enter mode functions by halting the processor, allowing for program development. The final mode, ‘Override,’ combines the functions of program mode with the ability to program with the processor running. It also allows for I/O to be forced on or off.
Other features of 8010-SPR-250 include a 9in phosphorus screen, capable of displaying both characters and a 10x7 control matrix. A fold-down keyboard is also attached to the unit. The keyboard features a standard typewriter configuration, a number pad, and 10 soft keys. The soft keys perform the functions found at the bottom of the display screen.
A handle mounted case houses the programmer, weighing 36.16 pounds and measuring 16.87in (W) x 10.63in (H) x 21.0in (D). Proper storage is necessary to maintain the integrity of the programmer. Ambient temperatures of the operating facility should range between 0℃ and 50℃, or 32℉ and 122℉. When in storage, temperatures can range from -20℃ to 65℃, or -4℉ to 150℉. Be sure to refer to the instruction bulletin for programming and system information.
