About the 8010-SPR-300
The Square D SY/MAX 8010-SPR-300 is a deluxe CRT programmer compatible with a wide selection of SY/MAX equipment. In a complete interfacing system, the programmer can develop programs, data storage, and monitor data. 8010-SPR-300 is capable of communicating with all Class 8020 SY/MAX processors, Class 8030 D-LOG data controller modules, and Class 8040 process control modules.
Using an SY/NET LAN, the 8010-SPR-300 can interface with hundreds of programmable controllers. The SPR 300 programmer is also capable of operating as an offline, stand-alone unit.
A factory-installed cartridge tape loader/recorder found in the programmer creates a complete programming system. It allows the programmer to store and load data, programs, and documentation. Offline programming is simple as 8010-SPR-300 has its own memory to allow control programs to be developed and stored on the tape. Integrated memory allows for hard-copy records of programming controls for device troubleshooting and maintenance.
Four operating modes can be selected through the security key switch, locking the programmer into one mode. These include:
- Monitor
- Data Enter
- Program
- Override.
A 9-inch screen is also attached to the unit with a typewriter-style keyboard. This keyboard includes 10 soft keys each possessing variable functions. These keys make memorizing key sequences unnecessary, as they function from prompts found on-screen. Three communication ports are also on the programmer, including a processor port, a cartridge tape/printer port, and a video out port.
Enclosed in a portable casing, 8010-SPR-300 measures 16.87in (W) x 10.63in (H) x 21.00in (D) and weighs 36.16 pounds. As the programmer contains a fragile cartridge tape, the ambient temperature of the operating facility should fall no lower than 32℉, or 0℃, and rise no higher than 122℉, or 50℃. When storing the device, the temperature can range from -4℉ to 150℉, or -20℃ to 65℃. All programming and system information can be found in the corresponding instruction bulletin.
