About the 8020-SCP-111
The 8020-SCP-111 module is a device that was made to be part of the SY/MAX series and was designed and manufactured by Square D. The 8020-SCP-111 module is described as being a Model 100, 20 I/O PC with RAM. The 8020-SCP-121 and 8020-SCP-122 modules have 40 I/O ports rather than 20, so take a look at either of those units on AX Control’s website if those are the ones you need. This particular module was declared obsolete in August of 1989. The original manufacturer, Square D no longer supports or offers this product new, but AX Control possibly has this product in reconditioned form or brand new from excess stock. Follow the links above to find the two aforementioned modules, if those are the ones that you need instead of the 8020-SCP-111.
The 8020-SCP-111 module is a rectangular device that is large in size. The module’s twenty I/O ports are located on the right side of the faceplate, specifically on the bottom half. The very top of the faceplate has a fuse with black text under it which reads, “FUSE RATING 3 AMP 250 V TYPE ABC.” Below that, there is a slot meant for a key with three positions: “RUN,” “HALT,” and “DISABLE OUTPUTS.” Below this are five LED indicator lights, which read from the top to the bottom as follows: “RUN,” “HALT,” “MEMORY,” “FORCE,” “BATTERY LOW.” The very bottom of the faceplate houses a small port with black text under it which reads, “PROGRAMMER.”
The 8020-SCP-111 module weighs approximately 8.99 lbs. or 4.10 kg., without including any of AX Control’s reliable, safe packaging materials.
