About the 8020-SCP-721
The 8020-SCP-721 module is a Model 700 with 8K processor unit. The 8020-SCP-721 processor was developed and manufactured by Square D to be included under the SY/MAX 8020 umbrella of products. Square D announced the obsolescence of the 8020-SCP-721 processor in January of 1994. Despite this, AX Control may have this product in either reconditioned form or brand new from surplus stock, depending on availability. Call or email us today to speak to an AX Control sales representative and learn about the availability of the 8020-SCP-721 processor or any of the other products you can find on our site.
The 8020-SCP-721 processor is very similar in appearance to the other SY/MAX 8020 processors you can find; it is thin and rectangular in shape with black sides and a white faceplate. On the white faceplate, there are five LED status indicator lights, each with their own function that is labeled to the right. Those labels are listed here from top to bottom as follows: “RUN,” “HALT,” “MEMORY,” “FORCE,” and “I/O.” Below that, there is a very small door that contains the 8020-SCP-721 processor’s lithium battery. Below that, there a small key switch. The key switch is used to activate and disable the processes that the 8020-SCP-721 processor controls. The key switch has three positions, and those are listed here from right to left as follows: “RUN,” “HALT,” and “DISABLE OUTPUTS.”
In total, the 8020-SCP-721 processor unit has an approximate weight of 4.66 lbs. or 2.11 kg., without including AX Control’s specially designed packaging materials to the total.
