About the 8030-CRM-211R

The 8030-CRM-211R local interface module, as previously stated, has a total of 4096 registers; 255 of these registers are designed for external drop addressing and 3841 of those registers are used for internal data storage.
The 8030-CRM-211R local interface module has two channels, which are seen at the bottom half of the front of the module. Each of these channels are divided into five terminals, and those are labeled from the top to the bottom as follows: “RX1,” “RX2,” “TX1,” “TX2,” and “SHLD.” At the top half of the 8030-CRM-211R local interface module, there are seven LED indicator lights. Six of these indicator lights are broken up into two groups of three to represent the statuses of the two channels. These three indicator lights are labeled as “RUN,” “HALT,” and “ERROR.” The seventh indicator light is labeled as the “MODULE ERROR” light. Below these lights, there is a small button that is labeled as the “RESET” button.
When you are beginning the installation process of the 8030-CRM-211R local interface module, be sure to take caution to prevent any equipment damage. You will want to remove all power from local and remote racks prior to inserting or removing any of the components. This includes the L1/R1 communication cables and interface modules.
