Product Description

The 8030-CRM-230 is a Local Transfer Interface Module from Sy/Max Square D designed to be used with various processors and I/O from the company.  This and the corresponding 8030-CRM-232 Remote Transfer Interface Module create a Transfer Interface System for Sy/Max programmable controllers to create and enable primary and backup processors for critical applications. 

The designed Transfer Interface System created with an 8030-CRM-230 uses two CPU racks connected with a twisted shielded cable to up to seven local transfer interface modules.  

The 8030-CRM-230 can be used with 8030 RRK-100, RRK-200, or RRK-300 register racks with 5, 9, and 18 slots respectively. 

This module has 4096 registers with the first 255 used for external drop addressing.  The unit has a current draw of 1.6 amps @ 5 VDC.  It uses continuous full-duplex communication with serial differential.  The recommended transmission distance is 25 feet for a register transfer channel and 2500 feet for an I/O channel.   This module is designed for use in ambient temperatures between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius with non-condensing humidity between 5 and 95%.   The unit weighs approximately 3.0 pounds before the addition of shipping materials. 

The 8030-CRM-230 is designed with seven diagnostic LEDs located on its front faceplate. These are marked run, halt, channel error, primary, backup, RTC error, and module error.   The unit has a marking area to allow for system identification.    For additional important information regarding the unit, its handing, proper installation, or maintenance schedules, please refer to manuals, user guides, or data sheets from Sy/Max.
