This SY/NET Network Interface Module is a creation made by Schneider Electric's Square D division. This module is part of the SY/MAX 8030 class of products. The dimensions of the drive are 2 x 11 x 7. The network interface module has 8 indicator lights to help the user know the status. The module allows the user communication between a large group of SY/MAX family products.   The connection can reach a maximum of 200 devices, which lets the user create a system of devices. This system is able to copy changes made on a master device and modify the data of another device. The module also has indicator lights to alarm the user of changes within the system. The user can attach a CRT monitor to the module and can program and watch over the system. The module comes with features like force I/O and UP/DOWN load ladder diagram program. The data of the system have individualised traits that can help the user manipulate it. To check for errors within the system, the module has a cyclic redundancy code that verifies the process is running smoothly.

The SY/NET Network Interface Module has many ports for connectivity. There is one high speed SY/NET connector on each module. There are also two low speed RS-422 ports that can work independently of each other. The ports have four operating modes that help the work flow. The operations are SY/MAX family devices, 8881 programmable controller, net to net, and peripheral devices.
