Product Description

The Square D SY/MAX 8030-CRM-931 is a RIO adapter module serving as an interfacing device. Compatible with Modicon RIO network, the module acts as an intermediary between Quantum processors and RIO network remote I/O. The module allows for the rack-mounted I/O’s input and output data to be read and written by the processor on the other end. The adapter module is compatible with Modicon Modsoft Software only, so 8030-CRM-931 will work only if it is installed. RIO network speeds average 1.544 Mb/s over a connected LAN.

Four LEDs are featured on the front plate of the module. These indicator lights act as diagnostic tools, easily communicating messages through the READ, COMM ACTIVE, COMM ERROR, and LOCAL RACK ERROR lights. A right-angled ‘F’ type female connector completes the faceplate of 8030-CRM-931. The connector allows for an external communication channel to be led from the unit. Rotary switches are present on the adapter module as well. These switches allow the user to select and identify the RIO drop module. Drop modules are chosen as one of up to 31 drops per each RIO head. Each drop has 128 addressable individual registers, half inputs and half outputs. Following SY/MAX standard module sizing, the device measures 1.5in (W) x 12.1in (H) x 6.6in (D) and weighs 2.8 pounds.

Following proper storage and installation guidelines will prolong the longevity of the module. When in storage, temperatures can range from -13℉ to 176℉, or -25℃ to 80℃. When operating, ambient temperatures can fall no lower than 32℉, or 0℃, and no higher than 140℉, or 60℃.
