About the 8030-EQ5-138-G2
8030-EQ5-138-G2 is a parallel digital receiver interface module developed by Square D SY/MAX. When working in tandem with a parallel driver (part 8030-EQ5-138-G1) the module allows the CPU easy access to I/O configuration. The other module, the driver, mounts into the CPU rack and connects to this receiver while it is installed in an adjacent I/O rack. Each receiver can only connect to a single driver, with each driver capable of inputting two receivers. This hardwire connection made between I/O and processor in this PDD/PDR system allows for simpler and quicker data transfers. SY/MAX processors have the ability to run PDD/PDR and local/remote I/O systems simultaneously, providing the processor with a non-stop data flow.
A green Interlock LED is found at the top of 8030-EQ5-138-G2. Below, multiple blank areas allow the user to make identifying marks on the top of the receiver and near the port. A cable socket found on the middle of the front plate serves as the only communication port for the PDD/PDR system. A 50 conductor cable is necessary to connect the PDR module to the PDD module. These detachable cables are sold separately in five and seven foot lengths. A standard size module, this receiver measures 1.5in (W) x 12.8in (H) x 6.6in (D) and weighs 2.3 pounds.
Proper storage and usage guidelines must be followed to maintain the integrity of the receiver. When in storage, the temperature of the facility can range between -40℃ and 80℃, or -40℉ and 176℉. When operating, ambient temperature can range from 0℃ to 60℃, or 32℉ to 140℉. The corresponding manual and datasheet contains all installation and configuration protocols for 8030-EQ5-138-G2.
