About the 8030-HOM-261
The Class 8030 Type HOM-261 8 Function TTL Output Module requires an external 5 VDC power source. This can be either a user supplied 5 VDC power source or a Sy/Max Class 8030 Type PS Power Supply with a Class 8030 Type CC-40 Cable. When used as a TTL (transistor transistor logic) I/O power supply, the Class 8030 Type PS Power Supply must be a dedicated power source. Attach no other cables to the power supply, to maintain electrical isolation.
Up to 8 loads can be driven by the Type HOM-261 8 Function TTL Output which can be used to drive a manufacturing process. The fuse type rated for the module is AGC 3, 3A, 250 V. Each of the 8 outputs is individually fused. Lower-rated fuses may be installed, depending on the output devices being controlled. Fuses are accessible through openings in the side of the module.
The outputs are optically isolated and can be interfaced to TTL circuitry or other 5 VDC devices. The module uses transistor drivers capable of sinking up to 60mA from an externally supplied source, or driving 20mA to an external device.
Each output circuit configuration is switch selectable between an open collector or active pull up mode by means of a dip switch accessible from the bottom of the module.
The module features an LED on the front of the module for each output, which when lit, indicates a high level logic output voltage.
The ambient temperature rating is 0-60℃. The humidity rating is 0-95% non-condensing. The weight (unpackaged) is 1.2 lbs (0.54 kg). The rated module current draw on a Sy/Max power supply is 225 mA per module at 75% duty cycle and 275 mA per module at 100% duty cycle.
