About the 8030-RIM-126
The 8030-RIM-126 Thermocouple Isolated Analog Input Module from Symax. This module has eight inputs per module with two range groups that the user can choose from. The registers required for rack addressing is twelve. The user definable function group is two independent input function groups, each with its own range and number of outputs. There are seven high level ranges (0-5 VDC, 1-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, +/- 5 VDC, +/- 10 VDC, 0-20mA, and 4-20mA. There are also nine low-level ranges +/- 50 mVDC, and thermocouple types J, K, T, E, B, R, S, C. The calibration for this module happens automatically. The under-range indication if using VDC, mA, or mVDC is converted to -1 for the 1-5 VDC and the 4-20mA inputs at signals less than 0.9 VDC and 3.6 mA respectively. All other unipolar and bipolar voltage ratings are converted to zero. The over-range indication if using VDC, mA, mVDC is converted to 9999. Use greater than or equal to on programming the comparison rungs. If using the thermocouple function the under-range is provided in RIM-126 register number 10, the bits 1 through 8 turns ON for channels 1 through 8 respectively. The over-range indication for the thermocouple is also provided in RIM-126 register number 9, the bits 9 through 16 turns on channels 1 through 8 respectively. The update time in fast mode will update all 8 high-level input channels in 12 msec. and for all 8 thermocouple input channels, they will update in 260 msec.
