The 8030-ROM-271 is part of Schneider Electric’s Square D 8030 module system.  This unit is a 16-function Isolated Relay output module. 

The 8030-ROM-271 is used to provide sixteen output points.  These isolated points are used as high-density I/O.  Each point can be used to switch as much as two amps at a max of either 125 VAC or 30 VDC.  

The 8030-ROM-271 can be used in the register slot of a digital rack.  It can also be used in any other slot except slot one.   The unit is designed with a red LED indicator that corresponds to each output point.  This LED is located on the front of the module to be easily seen by the user.  Below these LED indicators there are two removable terminal strips that can be used for field wiring connections.  There is one common for all sixteen outputs. 

The 8030-ROM-271 weighs in at approximately 2.8 pounds before the addition of shipping materials.  It is designed for use in locations where the ambient temperature remains between 0-60 degrees C in a humidity rating of 5-95%, noncondensing.    This unit can be used with a variety of racks including HRK, RRK, CRK, GRK, and DRK racks.   For specific information about compatibility or for more information about this unit, please refer to original documentation from the OEM.
