About the 8055-SCP-453
The 8055-SCP-453 module is a 450 Model processor with an ethernet port and 8K RAM. The 8055-SCP-453 processor was designed and mass produced by Square D as part of the SY/MAX 8055 class of processors and other related products.
The 8055-SCP-453 module is similar to many of the other processors you will come across in the SY/MAX line of products. It is a rectangular shaped, thin, and is mostly black in color with the very front part being white. The 8055-SCP-453 processor has a total of eight LED status indicator lights. These lights are as follows from top to bottom: “RUN,” “HALT,” “MEMORY,” “FORCE,” “I/O,” “BATTERY LOW,” “WRITE PROTECT,” and “ETHERNET COMM ERROR.” Below the eight LED status indicator lights, there is a small door which is designed to store the 8055-SCP-453 processor’s lithium AA battery. Below the battery access door, there is a key switch that is used to control the functions of the 8055-SCP-453 processor. From left to right, the positions that the key switch can be set to are the following: “RUN PROGRAM,” “RUN,” “HALT,” and “DISABLE OUTPUTS.” Below this key switch, there is a small port that is labeled as the “PRGMR CHNL 1.” Below this small port are two labels that have arrows pointing downward, which are used to indicate that these things are on the bottom part of the 8055-SCP-453 module. These two labels read “ETHERNET DROP” and “COMM CHNL 2.”
Without adding in any of AX Control’s packaging materials, the 8055-SCP-453 processor has an approximate weight of 5.10 lbs. or 2.31 kg.
